UPDATE (Thursday, April 20) : Congratulations, everyone! We've got a supersized season finale. Scroll down to the entry for Thursday, May 11 and look for Casino Night.
Executive Producer Greg Daniels has gone on record as saying that he would like to air a special, extended edition of The Office for the upcoming Season Two Finale scheduled to air this May.
We, the Office faithful, are right behind Mr. Daniels on this one. Jeff Zucker, CEO of NBC Universal Television Group, and the rest of the powers that be, please grant Mr. Daniels' request for the 2925 reasons listed below.
Office fans who have not yet responded, now's your chance.
Please direct whatever questions, concerns, praises or mildly derogatory insults you may have regarding this petition to james@northernattack.com.
The show should get a really long season finale because its a good show, its a funny show, and its one of the few shows im a loyal viewer off. I don't watch a lot of NBC and this is the only reason i'm watching any NBC, so make it long and maybe we'll try your other shows us outside viewers.
BTW i came from lifeintheoffice :)
Please make it a long one, its gonna be hard w/o the Office this spring.
Because it's original, smart and doesn't take itself to seriously... And I agree with "Reason #29.
Because this show is better than any other comedy on NBC. NBC, show the Office how much you appreciate it.
The smartest show on T.V. deserves special privileges.
Because The Office kicks ass and is the best comedy on NBC ever. Period.
because the office is the best show ever!
There is no good reason to NOT super-size it! The show has caught on so well and I know the writers have MORE than enough material to create a super-size episode, so please please please let them! It will be SOOOO worth it to all of us!
LifeInTheOffice.com fan here - This show is a goldmine, it would be a mistake not to super-size the finale.
The script for the Office finale has already been written with more material than a twenty-two minute episode can handle. Condensing the story would be tragic!
Plus, the extension might recruit viewers who will tune in and stick around until ER begins later.
Because you love us for loving you? Because the summer is long and we all need a little something extra to get us through those lean months!
Because there are so many things going on in the office that haven't been resolved yet. And 30 minutes just won't do. I also feel that we deserve it as fans in return for having to wait around for new episodes while NBC aired the bore-lympics. Yes. I just made up a new word. It's all for the Office. DO IT!!!!!!!
because i can't get enough. i love the show!
Because it is the best show on TV right now
I love the office, nothing captures PA and office antics quite like it...
Because it's the only thing I would look forward to this semester.
Because its the best show on television! Also, considering the season finale last season (no cliffhanger?!), its been a long time coming.
"The Office" is one of a handful of good shows on TV today. It's one of the precious few that make owning a TV worthwhile right now. Make the finale longer! Almost any show it replaces that night is worth replacing, in comparison.
Thanks SupersizedOffice.com, for the petition, and thank you LifeInTheOffice.com for telling me about it.
A.A.
Because we need extra material to discuss and analyze over what's going to be a loooooong summer of no new episolds.
This is by far one of the funniest shows on tv right now. I always find myself wishing it was longer than a half hour. It won't hurt to give it extra time for the finale and the fans would love it!
Because The Office is the best show on television right now and one of the best comedies of all time. Because it has fiercely loyal fanbase that has followed it from its 6-ep Tuesday night first season as well as a rapidly growing fanbase hungry for more. Because... it's the right thing to do.
