UPDATE (Thursday, April 20) : Congratulations, everyone! We've got a supersized season finale. Scroll down to the entry for Thursday, May 11 and look for Casino Night.
Executive Producer Greg Daniels has gone on record as saying that he would like to air a special, extended edition of The Office for the upcoming Season Two Finale scheduled to air this May.
We, the Office faithful, are right behind Mr. Daniels on this one. Jeff Zucker, CEO of NBC Universal Television Group, and the rest of the powers that be, please grant Mr. Daniels' request for the 2925 reasons listed below.
Office fans who have not yet responded, now's your chance.
Please direct whatever questions, concerns, praises or mildly derogatory insults you may have regarding this petition to james@northernattack.com.
I love the office
Because if Greg Daniels thinks it should be, then it should be. Seriously. NBC, you have a gold mine on your hands here. The show's fanbase is increasing, and honestly, it's the best comedy you've had on your network since Seinfeld. Time to nurture it and let it grow.
Oh, and I'm a greedy Office addict and the more minuites of funny, the better.
Because 20 mins of storyline isn't enough and it would be a great way to finish off the second season! More please!
Recall the countless great scenes you've had to cut out over the last two seasons in order to fit the 22-min-per-episode requirement.
If you supersize the season finale, you get to make twice as many heart-breaking cuts. But you also get to keep twice as much great footage.
Why NOT supersize it?
It's very funny, it pulls in a great demographic and it's already written and ready to roll.
Thanks
Because it's the funniest show on television and always ends too early.
Why shouldn't it be supersized? The show is amazing!
Because I'm already going to be in suffering at the fact I have to wait for a new season, I need to be appeased with an hour long finale.
Any time I can get more Office, I will. And anytime I can Supersize for no extra calories, I will. And anytime someone asks me to give my opinion on the wonderful, fantazmagorical Office, I will....I will!
Yeah, I would be freakin' awesome to see a supersized finale of "the office".!
The Office deserves the time. It's the best show on NBC.
Come on. You know you want it, too.
Because I LOVE it! :) And you can never have too much of The Office.
Because there is so much drivel on tv, why not take up as much space as possible with the good, quality stuff!
The Office is a fantastically funny and insightful show that deserves to have the opportunity to play with an hour long episode.
We need it. We want it.
Because it's the funniest show on TV and there can never be enough Micheal Scott and the crew at Dunder Mifflin. Period.
I'm actually Canadian and in Canada, WE LOVE THE OFFICE!! Make it an hour long or we'll invade and make you do it with our mildly threatening military force!
[Editor's Note: The petition has been updated to support international entries.]
Because I LOVE this show. Need I say more? No, I don't.
A one hour special would be AWESOME.
Because I didn't suffer weeks without "The Office" just to see Sasha Cohen fall on her backside.
Oh ... and also because this show is one of the best on TV.
